SITxSTa
We typically experience the structures in which we live and work with only our eyes and the soles of our shoes, rarely does our skin meet materials that make up the walls and flooring around us. Architecture is only one part of the equation that determines the usefulness and comfort of the built environment, yet this is where we invest the majority of design effort and funds. Meanwhile, we are constantly being forced to adapt to, and endure, mass manufactured furnishings which often fail to adequately address all of the variable requirements of a given location, task and setting, let alone for a specific human. SIT x STa was born of architect Scott Trimmer’s desire to create a more fulfilling dialogue between humans, our furnishings and the architecture in which we live.
It may be impractical to try to address all of these issues in an average office setting but for a specific user, a specific use, for you, why settle for average when SIT x STa can provide a sublime, individual experience with the things that you interact with the most?
Some of the media that we use at SIT x STa for furnishings and installations include: wood, steel, felt, tens of finishes, steel mesh, vinyl, solid silver, concrete, masonry, glass, broken glass, resin, cubic zirconium, natural gas, sand, copper, rock. What can we create for you?
